Departure Day
And here. We. Go.
In little more than eight hours we'll be departing for our first stop, birthplace of none other than Eileen Hansen. We aren't wasting time getting after it - the drive is close to eight-and-a-half hours - so I won't be posting until we are well settled at the hotel in the evening. Typically, I'll try to post the highlights of the day as well as the itinerary for the following day so you are able to follow along the next morning.
Today there was a significant amount of trip planning activity, but nothing more exciting than my procurement of my bear/rape/NBA officiating whistle (as recommended by Brittany, to call foul on bear rape).
Tomorrow's Agenda
Route: Seattle > Yakima > Baker City > Boise
Estimated Time: 8 hours, 25 minutes
Estimated Distance: 503 miles

This is a sad, sad day for Seattle, Washington and its citizens. How sad? More sad than an episode of FNL. That sad!
